Help to understand Settings example

#1

New to OS.js. Trying to understand https://manual.os-js.org/v3/tutorial/settings/

An application is given the namespace osjs/application/{name}.

.register(‘name’, ({options}) => {
// Default settings
options.settings = {
foo: ‘bar’
};

the bare “.register”, what does that mean? I was expecting to see an object before the .

That part is ripped out of the standard application tutorial: https://manual.os-js.org/v3/tutorial/application/

I’ll update it so it’s a bit clearer.

Thanks for that reference. Clarifies a lot.

I’ve fixed the tutorial page.

The signature for .register() was also wrong there :frowning:

At least now it’s all a bit more clear… hope this haven’t brought about to much confusion.
